  • Integral solutions were brought by changing process time shifts, diminishing machinery dead time. These modifications helped the condition in which waste water was being treated, lowering external water treatment bills up to 40%.
  • Gas produced by the water treatment plant was better distributed increasing fuel consumption efficiency by 20%.
  • Design projects along with Volcafe´s R&D Department, committed to adapt and improve existing none coffee equipment into the coffee industry, primarily waste water technologies (DAF, Centriflux).

Therefore R&D had to build one, custom made for equipment already installed and upgraded. Tested and proven to be more efficient against other market options regarding heat transfer and fuel consumption, at a lower retail cost per energy unit delivered. Nowadays Volcafe has built four furnaces based on the first design.
