Senior Accommodation Specialist and Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

  • Started as an accommodation specialist looking for employees that needed any special requirement for a specific accommodation starting from medical accommodations to religious accommodations. I was in charge to properly follow up and give the accommodation alternative to the employees that required time off on specific days related to a sickness or need to have some restrictions applied on their jobs and decided to start an accommodation. Directly managed large medical leave databases and medical information in order to maintain a proper workflow for this type of cases. Followed up on accommodations that involved following up with managers and store managers in Lowes company.
  • Secondly, was placed in the specialist recruitment role which handles hiring of specific roles in the Lowes company. I have been in charge of monitoring large databases that contains sensitive candidate’s information for specific roles. Checked daily the requisitions that are opened in order to maintain a correct candidate workflow and movement of the same requisitions. Also, started to review requisitions that are in locations hard to fill or in secluded areas that need special handling. Sourced all these requisitions to have them always filled and processing the hires. Also, was in charge to double check the candidates re eligibility profiles to re assure to the Hiring manager or team in charge to hire or not the person. Lastly, checked on possible aged requisitions to check why is it aged and address that concern to the management team.
  • Lastly, I have been in the lead of a bilingual hiring project which consists on hiring on requisitions that are in need of having bilingual candidates in their stores. I have conducted phone screens with more than 10 candidates per day to evaluate their soft and hard skills, bilingual profiles, eligibility for the position and availability to work in the applied requisition. These has ensured a perfect balance with the candidates that are hired and meet this bilingual criteria, made more than 20 hires on this project which is considered a great success.

  • Started as a personal leave of absence case manager (PLOA) managing cases that were related to employees that were taking leave of absences for personal reasons in the US and Costa Rica that required time off out of work. Direct responsible of handling and managing this time of these employees and keeping in contact to inform about changes or updates related to their personal leaves or policies.
  • Transitioned to short term disability case manager (STD) handling medical cases for employees that require more time out on a leave of absence and have the benefit to apply for payment during this leave. Managed employees that were under this type of leave aiding in regards to their time off, payments, fixing any type of issue related to the time on this leave of absence or sensitive information and issues related to payments.
  • Later, was moved as a Senior STD case manager and worked as an auditor for this medical cases, managing and checking that the new case managers processed and correctly worked on their own cases and then provide feedback about the areas of improvement.
  • Lead the hiring process after started as an auditor. Basically, reviewed and checked the people’s application and checked on their background profiles to check if they were fit to worked on the team. Later, processed the personal interviews and based on the data given, made a hiring decision with the managers of the team.
